So I guess this is a cover reveal of sorts as we get ready to work on the manuscript for graphic noiz 5. graphic noiz 4 was just released last week and is available in ebook and paperback on Amazon. With the antics in volume 4, Shiro Ijima, the writer and Noiz, the amateur manga artist went through a trial that seriously had an impact on their relationship. With the climax of volume 4, we once again see Shiro who almost lost his life, back in the saddle again and writing Fissure 5. But with all the drama that happened, Shiro is faced with trying to get his Fissure series back on top after the novels fell off the bestseller list. With Noiz still trying to determine his feelings and having a hard time keeping his emotions under control as the writer keeps pursuing him, we see the two heavily focused once more on creating the scifi Fissure manga.
With deadlines looming and the serial manga magazine which dropped them when they stopped meeting deadlines once more interested in the work, we see Shiro and Noiz scramble to get back on schedule trying to make up at least two months of backlogged production. When Shiro got hurt in the car crash and stopped writing and Noiz ceased turning in chapters of art for the manga breeching the contract, the project was all but doomed causing Keita, the agent to bargain with Megumi, the editor to stay on and wait it out as Keita desperately attempted to get Shiro back on track.
With the publisher, the printer, and once more the managing director of the literary agency breathing down Keita’s throat to get his author in check once more with deadlines looming, it is anything Keita can do, including dragging Shiro out on the town for a night of binge drinking to get his author back in line. It becomes a mad dash to try to get the majority of the manga drawn, dialogue added and edits done in anticipation of the scheduled marketing blitz, advertising campaign and cover reveal. Noiz is also having doubts about the cover of the manga and all the hype in the media about him being an amateur who will inevitably not be able to pull off a cover worthy of Shiro’s work. Can he get his doubts back under control as he tries to execute a cover that can win awards and put Fissure back on the bestseller list?
Will Shiro and Noiz make the highly anticipated deadline to have Fissure manga volume done by the Fall release date? Find out in graphic noiz 5 due out end April 2017.
